The Stonebrook Company
Willsboro School Project

The Stonebrook Company's most recent acquisition is a 42,000 square foot property located in Willsboro, New York with plans underway for a  rehabilitation into an assisted living community.  The historic Willsboro School building will be converted into the Champlain Valley Senior Community, and will offer a full range of personalized senior living services, including care for individuals with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

  • The building is on the National Register of Historic places.
  • Market studies conducted by The Stonebrook Company indicate that Willsboro has an above average proportion of senior citizens compared to the overall in New York State.
  • The community will be reasonably priced in comparison to other assisted living facilities in the area; roughly 30% less than centers in Vermont.
  • The community is expected to create thirty new jobs.
  • The center will be a 74-bed community with apartment sizes from 270 to 563 square feet.
Champlain Valley Senior Community is located in the heart of downtown Willsboro, NY overlooking the Bouquet River.  The town of Willsboro sits in the Lake Champlain Valley between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York.  The site is within walking or short driving distance to many local amenities such as a grocery store, park, pharmacy, library, hospitals, shops, museum, bank, places of worship and restaurants.

The project will require about ten months of construction, beginning in December 2011.  The Stonebrook Company has brought on a reputable general contractor and management team for the project.
